Are remote hospital visits billable? What code would be correct?

My provider dictated a hospital follow up note as a remote visit only, she obtained all of the information from the patient's chart and provider/nurses documentation. There was no face to face encounter with the patient.

There has to be a face-to-face interaction with the patient to bill an E/M service.

That sounds like work related to a previous visit or service. It wouldn't be reported separately.
