how aften can you monitor a remote device after meeting the necessary requirement? Daily, every 10days, 30days, or 90days. i know you can only bill every 90 days. but what about monitoring?

thank you

This is what I found in my Dr. Z book about cardiac device monitoring. Hope this is what you are looking for!

Medicare has national guidelines indicating the normal frequency of pacemaker monitoring in a face-to-face setting that is expected to occur under routine follow-up. Patient-specific indicators may warrant more frequent monitoring.
• Single chamber pacemakers – twice in the first 6 months following implant, then
once every 12 months
• Dual chamber pacemakers – twice in the first 6 months following implant, then once
every 6 months

Thanks,
