I have a case where my provider has a patient that is having issues with chondromalacia and painful hardware that was from an ACL procedure.
My doc did an arthroscopic chondroplasty but then did an open removal of the ACL button. My question is, is it appropriate to use 20680 for removal of the ACL button, since the code descriptor says buried pins, plates, metal bands nail rods or screws?
