with closure of index finger traumatic amputation wound through the level of distal phalanx 2.5 cm. 11730 / 11750 for nail plate removal don't seem to fit. Would you just do the closure since it includes debridement?

Patient had a traumatic amputation to the tip of his right index finger.

Proximal portion of the nailbed was still present and we sharply excised this back to subcutaneous and deeper tissues along the dorsal rim of the proximal nail fold. Closed with vertical mattress prolene sutures and 50 plain gut sutures to close the wound with minimal tension fully covering the exposed bone and contouring the finger to a more natural contour.

From AAPC coder:
The nail bed can be injured due to laceration, crush, or avulsion. This procedure is performed to repair such damage.
Clinical Responsibility
The physician removes the nail and repairs the nail bed. He can perform a hematoma evaluation or drain blood with absorbable sutures, which is included in this code.
