Help please!!! I need a cpt code for a procedure. The patient had a previous VP shunt removal, but they could not remove part of the catheter, so they were brought back to surgery. The surgery was "exploration of incision with removal of subdural catheter, wound washout and closure. The catheter was followed to the entry point into the skull. I then placed a metal stylet through the catheter, I then applied the bovie to the metal and was able to remove the catheter." I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this!!
