Pt had a face lift done out of the country, present for an office visit.
PA removes 90 minutes worth of stitches. Cellulitis is found behind
pt ear. ins is Medicare. script is written for the cellulistis and a follow up
scheduled. How would you code this and what are the chances of it
being a covered visit? Thank you.
 
I am not sure on the coverage, you will need the dx code for the cellulitis and the code for the late effect from surgery (905-908) or if your provider documented this as a surgical complication and you will need the E code to indicate whether this is documented as a misadventure at the time of surgery or not.
