PRE/POST DX: Right renal calculus
PROCEDURE PERFORMED: Fluoroscopy over right kidney; stone not identified
INDICATIONS: Gentleman with a history of right flank pain who was found to have a 5 mm right renal stone. Management options were discussed, and he did choose to undergo shockwave lithotripsy of the stone. The risks, alternatives as well as potential complications were discussed with him prior to the procedure.
FINDINGS: No stone identified on fluoroscopy.
PROCEDURE: The patient was brought to the operating suite where general anesthetic was administered. The fluoroscopically was carried out over the kidney and proximal right ureter; no stone identified. He was awakened and sent to the recovery room in satisfactory condition. He tolerated the procedure well. There was no blood loss
