I have a case where the doctor has treated the patient 3 times with cryo for the same wart. I suggested billing the repeats with a modifier 78 but the doctor wants to bill no charge since it's retreatment during the global period......thoughts?
 
Since it is the same wart .. I would defer to the provider on this . I feel he/she is correct that it should not be charged when it was expected that the original treatment would have been sufficient
