I am looking for correct code for replacement of IJ dialysis cath different venous access. Can I bill for removal of previous cath?

If different access site, use the appropriate code for the removal of the old device (if a removal code exists- depends on the type of cath), and the code for the insertion of the new device.

I paraphrased the information per the description under 35680-36581 in the Ingenix Coding Companion 2010 (Vascular Surgery).
