Wiki Replacement rotational pin for femoral component of left proximal femur hinged knee prothesis with Modular oncology taper

Looking for some help here on a surgery. It sounds like the femur was not replaced. Not sure what CPT to use . Unlisted or 27486?

Once the prosthesis was identified, 2 broken fragments of pin were identified and removed. A third was still indwelling in the femoral component and was punched out the side and was subsequently removed as well. There was noted to be grossly rotation of the femoral component body to the well-fixed femoral stem, which was felt to be due to failure of pin mechanism. Once the pin mechanism had been removed, under fluoroscopic visualization and under direct visualization of the components, these were then realigned in anatomic position. A fresh pin was then secured through the stem and the body component through the stem component out the other side of the stem component, creating a stable construct. Both sides of the pin were then bent medially through a stab incision with blunt dissection down to the pin laterally through the operative incision. Once the pin was bent, the knee was placed through full range of motion. The femoral component was noted to be stable now and attention was turned towards wound closure. Meticulous hemostasis was

to me doc realigned the femur body component due to grossly rotation before inserting the last pen through the stem and body component I would consider 27487
