Can I get yother opinions on coding a final dx of reported sexual assault? Is it appropriate to code sexual assault with "reported" included?

given only what you have stated and not seeing exactly how the provider documented the encounter I am saying yes code as sexual assault.

and do not forget depending on the age of the patient and your State's requirements your office would need to report to the Chief States Attorny Office as Abuse Investigation.
