Wiki Reporting multiple 96361

We reported a 96360 and 2 lines of 96361 add on codes. One of the 96361 denied by Medicare as a duplicate. I do not see anything in the book to indicate that a modifier would need to be used. Can anyone tell me if we are to report multiple units and not multiple lines? I have never reported multiple units on any service except for medications. Thank you in advance.

you could try a modifier 76 on the second line

the medical unlikely edits are 8, so it's off that they are denying it. Rather then billing them as separate line items perhaps you can roll the qty up?

We bill 96361 with multiple units (96361 x 2), and not on separate lines.
