I work in a outpatient mental health clinic. I have a question concerning codes 90804 and 90806. What percentage of the time is a theripist required to be with th pt and what pecentage can be used doing paper work. There is an arguement in our billing office with this. I would really appreciate an answer to this.

Does the client being in the room while the theripist is doing paerwork count as face to face time?
