"......two semielliptical converging incisions were placed across the proximal and distal interphalangeal joint. Head of the proximal and middles phalanx were delivered in the incision, both heads hypertrophied. At the surgical neck, a sagittal saw was used to perform a through and through osteotomy and middle and proximal phalanx heads were excised in toto."

I want to code 28285 for the removal of the head of the proximal phalanx - the question is - can I code separately for removal of the head of the middle phalanx if done through the same incision? If yes - then 28124?

I'd appreciate any info......
