What is the best code to use for hip resection arthroplasty with hardware removal? Pt has a femoral neck nonunion & massive acetabular bone loss. Dr was going to do a total hip arthroplasty but not able to due to the acetabular bone loss, so he did a resection instead. We are looking at 27090 or/and 27122. We need help in selecting the proper code for the hip.
