Patient had post op retained nuclear fragment after having cataract surgery. This was removed by Phacoemulsification : The main surgical incision was accessed w/o having to make second incision, and the phaco tip was placed in the eye, and the fragment was simply aspirated w/o any difficulty at all. The remaining viscoelastic was removed from the eye and wound was closed. Dx is 998.82 but not positive on cpt code would you use 66850 or would this be unlisted cpt code? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. :confused:
