The patient delivered a 14 week gestation fetus vaginally with a retained placenta. The op note states the placenta was easily delivered manually. A sharp curette was performed to evacuate the uterus. This was all done with ultrasound guidance. My first thought is to code 59160 and 59414. But I am having reservations because the fetus is only 14 weeks gestation and 59160 states postpartum. Please guide me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!!
