Retinal embolism

I'm wondering if I can get clarification... the patient has a retinal embolism in the right eye with secondary branch retinal vein occlusion. Would you use H34.9 & H34.231 or would you just use H34.231. I'm not sure if code H34.231 includes the "retinal embolism".
