ENT did a surgical procedure global period 90 days.
Patient had a repeat procedure and the neurosurgeon was called in as a co-surgeon.
Would they both append the 79 modifier or only the ENT surgeon?
 
-79 is only for the physician who performed the original surgery. It is to override the global period. A physician who was not involved in the original surgery does not have any global period to override.
