How do you code a family practice visit or revisit?
It includes labs and physical exam.
 
I would read the E/m guidelines located in the front of your CPT book. It depends on the service rendered and the payer. If it was a problem visit, I would use the 9921X or 9920X, depends if they were a new pt. or not. If it was a physical I would code the appropriate physical code. Revisit would be a 9921X. Labs would be coded seperately.
