CAn anyone point me in the direction of the most commonly used/accepted E/M guidelines for Rheumatology. There is no specialty specific guideline from CMS, the closest I can come in Musculoskeletal. I come out better with 95 multi-system guidelines, but I don't think all the exam elements are medically necessary to be performed in the specialty. Any ideas/suggetions would be greatly appreciated. :)

If it is not medically necessary then it shouldn't be done just to up your level.

When I had this specialty in the past, they used the general multisystem 97 exam.
