The right thyroid was removed after the isthmus was divided and then "The goiter was then carefully bluntly dissected out of the chest and delivered into the neck wound and the recurrent laryngeal nerve was kept under direct vision as the final tissues were divided and the mass and the thyroid lobe removed an intact. Frozen section of the mass revealed benign goiter."
This was more work than a typical 60220 but I'm hesitant to add a -22 because there wasn't any documentation for "additional time it took", etc. The other option is 60271.....with a -52? A total thyroid was never planned so using a -53 for pro/-74 for facility wouldn't work.
Appreciate any thoughts.
