I am looking for anything in black and white from Medicare on wheather or not Diabetes and the manifestations can be documented as...
Diabetes complicated by and the manifestation.
I have other documents that state this however nothing from Medicare.
For Risk Adjustment the rules of documentation change and I want to make sure this is considered to be proper documentation.
I know that it can state Diabetic and the manifestation, manifestation due to or secondary to Diabetes. I just want to also make sure that Diabetes complicated by is also correct.
