When ever we are coding with ED Dept pt came with bilateral Knee pain from 3 days physician ordered Knee Xray and given Acetaminophen with codeine P.o in Ed and placed Knee immobilizer to Rt knee and Given Rx Acetaminophen with codeine . Can i consider P.o as controlled Substance please suggest me the level of risk??

No, controlled substances on the table of risk are only mentioned when administered by pareneteral route. PO drugs are not parenteral. I would probably classify this as moderate risk given that you could consider it an exacerbated condition and that it was treated with a prescription drug.
