Wiki Robotic Assisted Resection of Ventricular Mass

Good Morning -

I have a Cardiothoracic Surgeon who performed a robotic assisted resection of a left ventricular apical mass that Pathology showed was a lipoma. Normally on an open procedure I would code 33120. Has anyone had their provider do this procedure robotically? The patient was on cardiopulmonary bypass during the procedure. Thoughts on if this would be an unlisted code?

Thank you for any input!

I don't believe there is a robotic code for that (very interesting) but CPT description for 33120 doesn't specify an approach - I wonder if you can still use the code. Otherwise, I agree to code with an unlisted code. S2900 is for the robot itself. STS recently said not to report that code. We still report if for tracking purpose.
