Our physician is having difficulty getting bloodwork ordered for one of her patients. What dx would you use for routine bloodwork, for screening purposes?

if is for screening you choose the appropriate V code for the screening. If it is because they are checking drug levels for medications the patient haz been taking then use the V 58.83 followed by the V58.6x for the drug.

If it is just a regular screening then it would be V72.62, if they are checking medication levels then its V58.69. It just depends what they are doing it for.
