:confused:We are begining to bill Rural Health. Our question is what gets billed to Medicare Part A and what gets billed to Medicare Part B? We understand that the Clinic visit goes to Part A. But what about Vaccines administations, along with the vaccines, minor surgerys (wart removal), blood draw, urinalysis and paps. Are all the above wrapped up into the clinic visit?

Any help would be appreciated.

thank!
Sara

Check out the two below links, one is the Medicare Rural Health policy manual and the other provides the basics in an easy to read format. A lot will depend upon whether you are Indepedent or Provider Based. Some services are not billed out but placed on a cost report for the end of the year. I also know some Rural Health clinics have posted Rural Health/Non Rural Health hours. Hope the following links provide you some additional information.

choose the link Medicare Processing Manual (chapter 9) under the Billing/Payment heading
