In CT, Medicaid requires the -SA modifier when billing Medicaid for NP services in an Urgent Care. I've only been adding the modifier to the E/M but the billers where I work are adding the -SA to diagnostic testing and HCPCS codes as well. Is this the correct use of the modifier?
