Does anyone know what CPT code would be used for a Saline Patch for post epidural headache? I am looking at 62311 (lumbar) but don't know for sure.

What do you think about px 62273- Injection, epidural, of blood or clot patch? The saline is being used as a clot patch it sounds to clot the puncture from the epidural..I think this is more appropriate than 62311, as that code states it is for injection of a diagnostic substance, and it sounds in your case this is more to place a patch.
