Happy Friday fellow coders!
I recently took a coding assessment for a recruiter and got this question incorrect/or partially correct. The question asked me to code the ICD 10 for a child who fell off a bike and had a Salter Harris II fracture of the left tibia. There was no other information given. In a case like this, how would it be coded? (for reference, I chose to code for the lower end). Are there guidelines for selecting the appropriate code similar to the displaced/non displaced or closed/open guidelines?
