Scenario:

A patient comes in for a visit and leaves the office, gets into an accident and wants to come back in to see the doctor. Is it possible to bill these two visits for the same day?
 
I need an answer to the same type of scenerio; I had a patient come in during the morning and then return later that afternoon for conditions worsening. My provider wanted to combine the documentation and up code the office visit. I told her that we had to split the documentation for each seperate visit and that we can't do that. Are we allowed to do this or not?
