Wiki Same day visits different Subspecialties in Same practice??

We have a multi Specialty practice with several Orthopedic doctors, one being a Spine Specialist. This Spine Specialist is under a different Taxonomy. It is our understanding and per MSV that as long as they are under different Taxonomy numbers , doctors in the same practice that are different Subspecialty CAN see the patient on same day. EX: the patient sees our Orthopedic but has an issue that requires immediate attention by our Spine Specialist, such as an Exam that leads to an Epidural Steroid Injection or Facet Nerve Block,etc. Is this billable and would you do a modifier on either E&M??
