I have a patient that had outpatient surgery and they had a 50590 Lithotripsy with 52332 Insert stent. While the patient was in recovery they could not get the pain from stent insertion under control so they could not discharge him. Therefore he went in for a second session to 52310 remove stent and 52332 replace the stent. Is there a modifier we could bill with to get reimbursed for this patient or can this be billed since it was two seperate sessions on the same day?
