A patient had a hernia repair performed on 09/27/13 by Dr. P who is a general surgeon. Dr. S, who is also a general surgeon within the same practice as Dr. P, is trying to bill the patient's discharge on 09/28/13. Can Dr. S bill the discharge? I'm thinking not because he is in the same practice as Dr. P. Am I correct in thinking this?
