Wiki SC Medicaid Billing

Help! I was asked a question about SC Medicaid and I have no clue as to what the answer may be. I have a friend who would like to open an office in SC, they have a SC Medicaid provider number, but say they need additional numbers to submit their billing under for the various types of SC Medicaid. Since I am so unfamiliar with SC Medicaid, I went to their site and looked up the different types of caid, but I found no information pertaining to billing. I did however find a PowerPoint that stated:

All medical encounters must be billed using the procedure T1015.
Maternal encounters must be billed with the ?TH? modifier.
Psychiatric and counseling encounters must be billed with the ?HE? modifier.
HIV/AIDS and Cancer related related encounters must be billed with the ?P4? modifier.
Family planning services must be billed with the ?FP? modifier.


Could this be what my friend is speaking of or is there something other than this?

Good morning. The information that you posted from the powerpoint presentation from SC medicaid is not what your friend is speaking about. You would need to look for their provider enrollment information. SC may have rules about how they enroll for the various types of services they provide.
