Hi -
I am struggling here to find where I've seen guidance before about this... The note has both schizoaffective disorder and bipolar disorder listed in the assessment and plan. They aren't listed together as "schizoaffective d/o, bipolar type,..." or anything like that, just listed there separately.
Doesn't the provider need to link the 2 conditions together in order to code this "combo" code of F25.0 vs coding separately F25.9 & F31.9?
If someone can point me in the right direction for any reputable resource on this, or any ICD-10 gl i may have looked over or aha coding clinic, because I couldn't find anything. I feel like I'm missing something obvious here.
Any help appreciated.
