A 52 year old patient was previously seen a year ago for fibrocystic breast and now a year later the breast surgeon orders a diagnostic mammography. The visit was billed with dx 610.1 Diffuse cystic mastopathy -G0204 & 77051

Was it appropriate to order a diagnositic vs screening?
