CDC guidelines recommend annual screening for certain std's for certain populations. My question is on how exactly these should be coded. If we take a specimen for gonorrhea and chlamydia screening during a routine pap because the patient falls within the guidelines, do we code this as V70.0 with the routine physical or V74.5 screening venereal diseases?
