Can a scribe complete dictation in a note after the patient has been discharged and gone home. Everything I have read has been the scribe has to be in the exam room with the patient and the provider at the time of service. Just wanting to verify. Thanks in advance.
 
I would think that if the scribe was in the room, and the physician dictates some more details to her after the visit, there shouldn't be a problem with that. Am I wrong?
