I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion on the correct coding on this..

Medicare patient
Has a SCS system that is not covering the pain.
Pt wants removal of SCS leads and battery.

Provider tried to implant two new leads to see if it would help the pain, but after several attempts, he DC due to not being able to implant and wanted to avoid damage. He then removed the two new leads, the two old leads and the battery.

Would you use 63663-52 , 63688 or 63661 and 63688?

I have not run into this type of a situation before....
