What codes would you use for this procedure:
Aortic root replacement w/ a 29 mm Medtronic Freestyle valve, reimplantation of the left main coronary, reimplantation of the right main coronary artery, along with replacement of the ascending aorta w/ a 26 mm Hemashield throughout. The patient has a large ascending aortic aneurysm and an aortic root aneurysm along with aortic insufficiency.

Hi Kris,

Sounds like 33863. The difference between 33863 and 33864 is the aortic valve; 33863 includes valve replacement and 33864 the valve is not replaced but there is valve-sparing aortic root remodeling.
