Hello,

Can anyone suggest the ICD 9 code for seborrheic dermatitis in an infant? Some of the coders are assigning it as seborrheic dermatitis infantile. I want to confirm whether this infantile refers to the age or the type of dermatitis.

The answer is yes; I use the Encoder Pro Professional and when I search for "dermatitis infant" it leads me to the 690.12; also the index on the ICD9 book under "dermatitis infantile" leads you to the same code.
