I am looking for some clarification in the MDM component of the audit form. Section B states that two points can be given for "obtaining history from someone other than patient". I work for a Pediatrics group so most of our info is obtained from the parent/caregiver. Would this count as someone else or is this strictly referencing another physician?

I have brought that to an external auditing company because I questioned the same thing in the past and they did say that obtaining history from someone other than the patient, whether it be a parent, caregiver, etc is permissible to use.
