Wiki Self Pay Rates

Good Morning, I have a some questions regarding self pay rates for the uninsured, self pay rates and patients that have coverage. Is there someone available to answer them? My understanding is that if a patient has coverage, they can opt for the self pay rate as long as it is prior to the claim being submitted to their insurance company, however, they must continue to be self pay for related services.
