Patient is a 3 month old born with imperforate anus and ambiguous genitalia who developed hydrocolpos / hydrosalpinx as a result of serous fluid collection in the uterus. The surgeon punctured the uterus and drained the fluid, then left a Mallecot tube in place for continued drainage. Open procedure. He also resected a 5cm cystic abdominal mass (CPT 49203). Is there a separate code for draining the fluid in the uterus?
