I am hearing conflicting reports on the correct way to bill for Transitional Care Unit within an acute care hospital. 1. Bill SNF CPT, POS 31, service location TTC 2. Bill SNF CPT, POS 31, service location acute care facility (hospital) 3. Bill 99232 or 99233, POS 21, service location acute care faciltiy.
What's your opinion and can you point me to any documentation? Thanks.
