Hello and Good Evening Pathology Colleagues,
I stumbled upon this change today and felt it warranted a post or "shout out" to other pathology coders that code these coding scenarios.
I have exciting news to share with you if you haven't seen this yet!
They updated the Excludes 1 edit on some of the troublesome codes to now an Excludes 2 edit starting 10/1/2023.
D12.x has now Excludes 2 edit with K63.5
K51.40 has Excludes 2 edit with D12.6 and K63.5
K63.5 has Excludes 2 with D12.x and K51.40 and D12.6
I am sharing the information if you would like to take a peek for yourself:

Once you open the folder you will select icd10cm_tabular_2024
