What would we use for a diag for Shock Bowel?

Shock Bowel is more of a radiograpic feature (as on a CAT scan, etc.). It is usually from hypotension. Hypovalemic shock, can happen with sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, or cardiac arrest. So, you would only code the specific diagnosis (or sign or symptom). It is really not a diagnosis, it a term used by the radiologist to refer to a thicking of the bowel. It could have many causes. It is just helpful for the interpetation of the xray, cat scan, etc. Hope that helps
