I have always heard that if a patient comes in for a visit for his WC injury and also has another unrelated medical problem addressed you may charge for 2 visits - one billed to WC and the other to the patient's insurance company. I was also told that you would need 2 separate notes, one for each.

Does anyone have any written documentation that supports or refutes this concept?
