Could I get help with a CPT code?
I made an elliptical excison , in total length 5 cm, around the sinus tract and cystic lesion. In dissecting through the subcutaneous tissues, I did enter into an abscess pocket, about 1 cm deep. Small amount of mildly purulent fluid were evacuated, and then the abscess tract was entirely excised. The patient did have a sinus tract extending from caudal to cranial, medical to lateral. This was completely excised. It did not enter the tunica vaginalis. At he conclusion, the entire sinus tract and scrotal cyst appeared to be completely evacuated from this area. Hemostatis was achieved. The wound was irrigated and reapproximated with a deep layer of running 3-0 Vicryl suture. The skin was reapproximated with interrupted 3-0 Monocryl suture. Would this be CPT code 13160 or 11426? or neither??
